Lindt – Excellence Milk Extra Creamy

image003

Again, available from Coles and Woolworths Online in the 100g sizing and not the 35g reviewed, Lindt guarantees that each Extra Creamy Milk block will have 20% milk solids minimum, which helps to ensure that each square has a genuinely creamy and milky taste and texture. The chocolate melts readily in the mouth – this is an indulgence for savouring! Having said that, for me personally the bar was excessively sweet. I can readily imagine using shaved curls to top whipped cream on hot chocolate/mocha or any number of desserts, but if your tastes tend more towards darker and more textured flavours, then this may not be the bar for you.

Lindt Lindor assorted box

Lindt MC LogoX

Most of us are familiar with the infamous Lindor chocolate balls. They come out for special occasions, as a ‘thank you’ or at Christmas time. So what better way to enjoy one, than to enjoy a box of them! I’m the kind of gal who makes her husband order something else on the menu just so I have another option in case I don’t like my original pick, so nothing makes me happier than having options in my chocolate box. Lindt – Excellence Dark Orange Intense

image003

Available from Coles and Woolworths Online only in the 100g block, Lindt Excellence Orange Intense is much more than the name implies. With 6% almond pieces and only 2% orange, and also including apple and pineapple pieces, this chocolate has a slightly tropical flavour over a rich, creamy, dark chocolate base. Equally suited to be a mid-afternoon snack or a decadent dessert, I can also imagine shaving it and using curls to decorate cakes or ice-cream. Eaten as-is, the chocolate is dark but not bitter, and sufficiently rich that just one square may satisfy even the strongest sweet tooth!

Lindt Creation – Decadent chocolate

image003

Over the years I’ve tried to be classier with my choice of the choc. I’m quite partial to the odd Belgium truffle, and love looking at the cabinets full of delicious morsels at a chocolatiers – you know the kind, the places where the staff wear white cotton gloves to handle your treasured purchase. Naturally the bulk (and I do mean BULK) of my consumption comes from the supermarket variety and I was happy to sample outside of my comfort zone. Lindt Excellence Chocolate – Arabica Intense

Excellence Arabica Packshot - FRONT (No New)

I didn’t know what to expect with this chocolate. I am eating more and more dark chocolate these days in a bid to be healthier so am always scanning the shelf and trying to find dark chocolate to buy instead of my usual favourite – milk. I do not drink coffee and don’t like the taste but know Arabica is a coffee bean so was a little hesitant to try this in case there was a strong coffee flavour. I don’t like coffee flavour even in foods and can taste it very quickly even if only subtle or just a light hint of a coffee flavour. Continue reading Lindt Excellence Chocolate – Arabica Intense
