I wish I’d had a teething necklace with my eldest daughter, as so far with number 2 it’s proving good value.
First of all, it looks great. For something that is marketed as a parenting tool, it’s actually a nice accessory as well. They are a very simple design and very stylish so you feel good wearing it, you don’t feel like you’re lugging around one of the many things you need on-hand as a parent, it’s just part of your outfit.
The beads themselves are made from 100% non-toxic silicone (and with no other chemicals) so they are safe for your baby to chew on and won’t grow any nasties on them. They are comfortable to wear and not too big or bulky that you feel awkward.
The length of the necklace is perfect for little hands to grab onto and play with, and easily pop into their mouth to soothe sore teeth. Being so readily available makes trips out and about that much easier if they can be distracted.
What I love most is the clasp. There are no hooks or other weird components like you find in some jewellery. It’s just a simple connector which is incredibly easy to get on and off, without compromising it’s strength of staying around your neck.
They also come in some beautiful colours and designs so they’d also make a lovely gift for someone if you’re not into them yourself.
This is definitely something for mum to wear, it’s not a toy and it’s important you read their safety warning on the website.
